Learn to exchange this knit pattern to crochet
Trigger finger gloves
4 to 6 ounces of 4 ply yarn
set of 4 double pointed needles, size 5
set of 4 double pointed needles, size 7
2 stitch holders and 2 stitch markers
CUFF: Cast on 36 stitches evenly onto three size 5 knitting needles and work knit 2, purl 2 for 3 and ½ inches or desired length.
HAND: Work 7 rows even
THUMB INCREASE: knit 1, place marker on needle, increase in each of the next 2 stitches, place second marker on needle, knit the rest of the round.
Knit 2 rows evenly.
Knit next Row, and inc. 2 stitches between the markers (6 st), knit to end of round.
Knit next 2 rounds evenly
Continue increasing every 3rd. wound until there are 12 stitches between the markers.
Knit the next Row placing the 12 increased stitches onto a stitch holder. Cast on 2 stitches in this spot to replace the 2 taken off for the thumb increase.
PALM: Work 9 rows evenly, leaving the 12 stitches on the holder.
FINGER INCREASE: Knit 1 stitch on needle on the right (already has stitch on it) and leave the extra stitch there.
This Row consist of 1 knit stitch, knit next row evenly. The extra stitch will be put at the end of the third needle from now on. Knit the next Row, placing a marker 3 stitches from the end of the 3rd needle.. In the last 3 stitches, inc. in first 2 stitches, place another marker and knit last stitch.
Knit next Row evenly..
Knit 1 Row increasing stitches after between markers Knit to 6 stitches, knit last stitch.
Knit the next Row until you get to the last 3 stitches before first marker, slip these 3 stitch, marker, 6 stitches, and last stitch and first 2 stitches of next needle all onto a stitch holder.
Total of 12 stitches, cast on 2 stitches to replace those used for finger increase.
Knit all rows evenly over 36 stitches until about 5 inches from cast on stitches of thumb holder.
HAND DECREASE:
Row 1: *knit 4, knit2 together*, repeat from * to * across. 30 St.
Row 2, 4, and 6, knit evenly around
Row 3: * knit 3, knit 2 together*, repeat from * to * across. 24 Stitches
Row 5: *knit 2, knit 2 together* repeat from * to * across. 18 stitches
Row 7: * knit 1, knit 2 together* repeat from * to * across. 12 stitches
With yarn needle, take yarn through all 12 stitches, tighten, and fasten off.
THUMB: Divide 12 stitches evenly on 2 needles and with 3rd needle, pick up 5 stitches evenly spaced by palm.
Knit rounds evenly until desired length. Measure palm side of thumb, not the outside.
Knit 2 stitches together across then knit 1 row evenly, gather stitches with yarn needle and tighten and fasten off.
FINGER: Place 12 stitches evenly on 2 needles, pick up 4 stitches evenly spaced onto the third needle.
Place 1 stitch from other needle onto needle with 4 stitches for easier knitting. Knit evenly until finger measures around 3 inches or desired length.
Measure from palm side, knit 2 together, around, knit Row evenly and gather stitches and fasten off.
