1 Pr. No. 4 Needles-10 inch

1 Pr. No. 8 Wooden Needles-14 inch

3 White sport weight Balls

  With No. 4 Needles cast on 46 sts. and work in K 1, P. 1, ribbing, for 4 inches.

Next Row increase 1 st. in each st. across row (92 sts. on needle).

Change to No. 8 Needle and knit 1 row.

Now work in pattern as follows:

Lace pattern is worked on a multiple of 9 sts with 10 sts. each side for border.

Row 1-K 10 (border), * K 2 tog., K 2, YO K 1, YO, K 2, slip 1, K 1, P.S.S.O., repeat front * to list 10 sts., K these 10 sts. (border).

Row 2-And all even rows K 10 (border), purl to last 10 sts., K these 10 sts. (border).

Row 3-K 10.(border), * K 2 tog., K 1, YO K 3, YO, K 1, slip 1, K 1, P.S.S.O., repeat from * to last 10 sts., K these 10 sts. (border).

Row 5-K 10 (border), * K 2 tog., YO, K 5, YO, slip 1, K 1, P.S.S.O., repeat front * to last 10 sts, K these 10 sts. (border).

Row 6-Same as Row 2.

Repeat these 6 rows for 45 inches, ending K last Row.

Change to No. 4 Needles and decrease by: K 2 tog. across Row (46 sts. on needle). Work in ribbing for 4 inches. Bind off.
