Round Dishcloth
I knit round dishcloths on 2 needles. I got the instructions from my
mother
so I'm not sure if there is a real pattern.
Cast on 15 sts.
Row 1: k 1, yo, k 12 (2 sts left on left needle), turn
Row 2: knit to end of Row
Row 3: k 2, yo, k 10 (4 sts left on left needle), turn
Row 4: knit to end of Row
Row 5: k 3, yo, k 8 (6 sts left on left needle), turn
Row 6: knit to end of Row
Row 7: k 4, yo, k 6 (8 sts left on left needle), turn
Row 8: knit to end of Row
Row 9: k 5, yo, k 4 (10 sts left on left needle), turn
Row 10: knit to end of Row
Row 11: k 6, yo, k 2 (12 sts left on left needle), turn
Row 12: knit to end of Row
Row 13: bind off 6 sts, knit to end of Row (15 sts)
Row 14: knit
Repeat these 14 rows until you have 11 "points". On the last point do not
do Row 14.
Row 14 of last point: bind off. Sew up seam.
I usually just whipstitch with my crochet hook -- put the crochet hook
into
edge st on both sides and draw the yarn through completely.
Repeat this
until you get to the center. At the center I weave the yarn through the
sts
and pull tight and fasten off.
I use size 8 needles and cotton yarn -- such as peaches and cream.
I hope this helps. I had a friend who wouldn't share patterns but there
is
always a way to get around it. (But that was before the internet!!)
