Mohair Arggle Slipover
Directions are for small size with any changes for medium and large in parentheses. Slipover takes about 5 (5, 6) ounces Main Color Wonoco Yarn Cornpitny's Mohair Yarn and 4 ounces Contrasting Color.
Use Susan Bates knitting needles sizes 4 and 6 and one size four 16-inch circular needle.

Back: With size 4 needles and MC, cast on 76 (84, 92) sts. Work in k 1, p 1 ribbing for 6 inches, inc 1 st in last Row -77 (85, 93) sts.
Note: To prevent holes when changing colors, twist new yarn under yarn just used. Wind 4 balls of MC and 6 balls of CC.
Change to size 6 needles and work in stockinette as follows:
Row 1: (Begin diamonds) * K 1 with CC, k 18 (20, 22) with MC, repeat from across, end Row k 1 with CC.
Row 2: P 2 sts with CC, * p 16 (18, 20) with MC, p 3 with CC, repeat from * across, end Row' p 2 sts with CC (instead of p 3).
Inc CC sts each Row, continue in this way until there are 19 (21, 23) sts in each diamond and 10 (1 1, 12) sts in part-diamonds on sides.
Next Rows: Continue in pattern and dec sts in CC to complete diamonds to correspond with- lower half of diamonds.
Work diamonds above diamonds in next diamond Row and continue in established pattern until entire back measures 13 inches.
Armhole: Bind off 5 (6, 6) sts on each side once.
Dec 1 st on each side every other Row 5 (5, 6) times. Work even until armhole measures 7 (7 ½, 8) inches. At beginning of next 6 rows, bind off 5 (6, 7) sts. Bind off remaining 27 sts.
Front: Work front same as back to underarm, then bind off 5 (6, 6) sts on each side once. Work to center of Row, sl remaining sts to holder. Dec at armhole same as back, but AT SAME TIME dec 1 st at neck edge every 3rd Row until 15 (18, 21) sts remain. Work up armhole to measure 7 (7 ½, 8) inches, then starting from armhole side bind off 5 (6, 7) sts 3 times. Sl sts from holder and work other half to correspond.
Sleeves: With size 4 needles and MC, cast on 54 (60, 66) sts. Work in k 1, p 1 ribbing for 1 inch.
Change to size 6 needles and work in stockinette st (k 1 Row, p 1 Row) and inc 1 st on each side every 4th Row until entire sleeve measures 4 inches. Bind off 5 (6, 6) sts on each side once, then dec 1 st on each side every other Row 5 (5, 6) times.
Work even until 7 (7 ½, 8) inches from bound off sts, end with p Row. * K 2 tog, repeat from * across Row.
Next Rows: P each st. K 2 tog, as before, through Row. P back and bind off. Finishing: Sew shoulder and side seams. Sew sleeves in place.
Neckband: With 16-inch circular needle, pick up 128 (134, 140) sts - Place a marker in center front.
Work k 1, p 1, ribbing and dec 1 st before and after marker every Row for ¾ inch.
P 1 Row on right side. Work in k 1, p 1 and inc 1 st before and after marker for ¾ inch.
Bind off loosely (double band). Sew to wrong side.
