Hex pattern

I found a hex pattern that came in a kit from Calico.  The pattern reads as follows:

Rnd: 1 Ch 6, work 1 dc in 6th cha from hook, ch 2 , * working into same ch, work 1 dc, ch2; rpt.  from * 3 times, join with sl st to 3rd ch of beg. ch-6; 6 dc and 6 ch-2 sps. counting beg. ch as 1 dc, ch2.

Note: All rnds are worked from right side.  Ch 3 at beg.  of rnd counts as 1 dc.

Rnd 2 - Sl st into first ch-2 sp, ch 3, work 1 dc, ch 2, 2dc all in same sp, * work 2 dc, ch-2, 2 dc all in next sp;  rpt from * 4 times more, join with sl st to top of ch - 3; 24 dc.

Rnd 3 - Ch 3, 1 dc in next dc,* work 2 dc, ch 2, 2 dc all in next ch-2 sp, 1 dc in each of next 4 dc; rpt from * 5 times, end last rpt on 1 dc in each of last 2 dc, join with sl st to ch-3; 48 dc.  Fasten off.

Make:
75 color A,
30 color B.
27 color C,
30 color D,
27 color E

Finishing - Arrange motifs as shown on Arrangement chard.  From right side , with matching yarn, sew motifs tog. with overhand st, sewing through back loops only with care to keep seams elastic,

Steam afghan to 42 X 53 ins.

Fringe - Wind rem colors around a 6 in cardboard, cut at one end.  Knot any 2 contrasting strands, about every 2nd st across upper and lower edge.
