                                               ABCBA
                                             ABCBCBA
                                           ABCBABCBA

                                                   ABA
                                                      A

**** Between the first four squares and the last four you leave one space with no square for the tree trunk.  You can also choose to not sew the 6th and 7th rows, on only one side, so that the skirt can be wrapped around the tree.

Arrange squares as shown in chart and sew together by over casting back loops. With green, sc around edges.

TASSELS:  Cut 8-inch strands of red and white.  Holding 3 strands red together, fold in half, and slip knot in any ch 3 sp at outer edge of skirt.  Alternate red and white around.

Thank you, Linda H.
