Materials Required:

5 – 4oz. Knitting Worsted or Sayelle

1 pr. Knitting Needles No. 8 or any size needles which will result in stitch gauge below

Plastic Crochet Hook Size H

Gauge: 4 sts = 1 inch

Multiple 10 sts plus 1^st. 

Cast on 121 sts.

1^st Row: k 1, * y o, sl 1, k1, p.s.s.o., k 5, k 2 tog, y o, k 1, repeat from * across row ending y o, k 1. 

2^nd Row and all even rows: P across row. 

3^rd Row: k 2, * y o, sl 1, k 1, p.s.s.o., k 3, k 2 tog, y o, k 3, repeat from * across row ending y o, k 2. 

5^th Row: k 3, * y o, sl 1, k 1, p.s.s.o., k 1, k 2 tog, y o, k 5, repeat from * across ending y o, k 3. 

7^th Row: k 4, * y o, sl 1, k 2 tog, p.s.s.o., y o, k 7, repeat from * across ending y o, k 4. 

9^th Row: k 2, k 2 tog, y o, * k 3, y o, sl 1, k 1, p.s.s.o., k 3, k 2 tog, y o, repeat from * across ending k 3, y o, sl 1, k 1, p.s.s.o., k2.

11^th Row: k 1, k 2 tog, y o, k 5, * y o, sl 1, k 1, p.s.s.o., k 1, k 2 tog, y o, k 5, repeat from * across row ending yo, sl 1, k1, p.s.s.o., k1. 

13^th Row: k 2 tog, * y o, k 7, y o, sl 1, k 2 tog, p.s.s.o., repeat from * across row ending y o, sl 1, k 1, p.s.s.o. 

14^th Row: P across row. 

Repeat from 1^st Row for pattern until cover measures 34 inches from beg ending with 14^th pattern row. Bind off.

 Edge:  Attach yarn in corner and work a row of sc all around working 1 sc in each of the 4 corners and 1 sc in every other row at sides, join.  

2^nd Round: Ch 4, * skip 1 sc, dc in next sc, repeat from * all around, join in 3^rd st of ch, cut yarn. 

Pompon: (Make 118). Wind yarn 40 times over 2 inch cardboard, slip off cardboard, tie at center, Cut both ends and trim into shape. Tie one pompon in mesh at corner, *skip next mesh, tie one pompon in skipped sc of 2^nd round, skip next mesh, tie one pompon in next mesh, repeat from * all around.
