3 Ply, Art. E.214: 15 balls of No. 835 Periwinkle.

Clark's O.N.T. Plastic Crochet Hook No. 6 or Milwards Steel Crochet Hook No. 2 / 00 (double zero).

  GAUGE: 1 shell (5 dc and 1 sc) makes.

1¼ inches; 2 rows make 1 inch.

Work is done loosely.

Starting at narrow edge, ch 91 loosely.

1st Row: 4 dc in 4th ch from hook, * skip 2 ch, sc in next ch, skip 2 ch, 5 dc in next ch. Repeat from * across until 15 shells are made, ending with an sc. Ch 3, turn..

2nd Row: 4 dc in first sc, * sc in center dc of shell, 5 dc in next sc. Repeat from * across, ending with sc between last dc and turning chain, Ch 3, turn.

Repeat 2nd now until piece measures 25 inches.

Next Row: Work in pattern across to within last 3 shells, ending with an sc. Ch 15, turn.

Following Row: 4 dc in 4th ch from hook, skip 2 ch, sc in next ch, skip 2 ch, 5 dc in next ch, skip next 2 ch, and work in pattern across Row. Ch 3, turn.

Work in pattern as before until piece measures 9 inches from the ch-15. Break off.

Make another piece exactly like first piece and sew the last rows of each piece together neatly, having lapel parts opposite each other.

POCKET... Ch 43. Work as for first Row of Stole (7 shells). Continue in pattern until piece is square. Break off. If desired, bind edges with velvet ribbon and sew to right lower edge of Stole. Bind all other edges in the same way.
