Shirley's Blanket picture coming.
This pattern was asked for many times. It was the baby blanket I made, and talked about in one of my newsletter, for my daughter's friend. I made it in 2 whites. One solid, the other had a silver thread running through it. I changed the whites every 3 rows.
Here is the pattern
This is pretty easy. No that's not right. It's
VERY easy. Only 2 rows make the pattern.
I used sport or baby weight. Size H hook.
Chain About 150.
Row 1: work 3 dc's in the 4th ch from hook. * skip 1 chain., sc in the next, (3 dc in the next chain = shell) * rep from * across Row. End with 1 sc in
last stitch. ch 3, turn.
Note: If you have too many stitches working your a (single crochet) sc. Just stop when you do the
closest sc at the end. Finishing and going around the afghans edge once will hide an extra stitch or two.
Row 2: 3 dc in 1st st, * 1 sc in middle stitch of shell, 1 shell of 3 dc in sc stitch, * rep across Row. End with 1 sc. Ch 3, Turn.
Row 3: Repeat Row 2 for about 80 to 100 rows. Or the length you'd like it.
Single crochet around edge once. Remember to make 3 stitch in corner. Repeat pattern around at least once.
Enjoy!
