LACY MOHAIR SHAWL

Materials:   3 skeins of thin mohair, 4 oz each Chain 5

Row 1:   Drawing up first loop of each dc to 1¼ ", work 2 dc, ch 2, 2 dc (shell made) in 5th ch from hook, ch 3  (makes a point (pt), 1 shell in same st as 1st shell, ch 4, turn.

Row 2:  Make 1 shell in ch-2 sp of shell, 1 shell in ch-2 sp of next shell, 1 shell in turning ch, ch 4, turn

Row 3:   Work 1 shell in each ch-2 sp of shells to pt, work (1 shell, ch 3, 1 shell) in pt, then make 1 shell in each  ch-2 sp of shells, 1 shell in turning ch, ch 4, turn

Row 4:   1 shell in each ch-2 sp to point, 1 shell in pt, 1 shell in each ch-2 sp to end, 1 shell in turning ch, ch 4,  turn.

Row 5:  Repeat Rows 3 & 4 nine times more, then repeat Row 3 once more (23 Rows in all)  Fasten off.

Fringe
Wind yarn 8 times around an 8" cardboard, cut open at one end.

Fold in half and draw through space of shell on side edge and then draw ends through loop and tighten.

Make a fringe in space of each shell along side.
