 Grandmother’s Fan Quilt in Crochet

Thanks  Sharlene convert this to knit

 Materials:  Aluminum crochet hook sizes H and I;
4 ply acrylic yarn in these amounts and colors: 9 oz. white;   3 oz. each of lavender, pink, turquoise, yellow, green, blue and Lullaby variegated.
(I’m sure you can change the colors if you would like)

Gauge:  H hook--4 sc = 1 inch, 4 rows sc = 1 inch. I hook--gauge irrelevant

Finished size:  38 x 45 inches, including fringe.

Note:  To change colors neatly on this project, work stitch until 2 loops remain on the hook, drop old color, complete stitch with new color.  Carry a couple of inches of new color in stitches on back of work to secure end.  Do not  fasten off colors unless told to do so in pattern.  When fastening off old color, carry a couple of inches in stitches on back of work to secure end.  This method eliminates the need for knots and makes a more definite color change line on front of work.

Dtr (double triple crochet) is worked as follows: Yo 3 times, insert hook in next st, yo, pull through sts, (yo, pull through 2 loops on hook) 4 times.
