Size 7 ½ " long

4 sc sts = 1’, 9 sc rows = 2’

stitches used: chain, single crochet, double crochet, slip stitch

Materials for all

Worsted-weight 2 ozs. each brown, light rust, and dark rust.

3 -1 7/8 gold tees

Tapestry needle

F and G crochet hooks or size needed to obtain gauge

Instructions

Cover (make 3)

Note: Do not join rnds unless otherwise stated. Mark first st of each round.

Rnd 1: With G hook and MC, ch 5, 2 sc in 2^nd ch from hook, sc in each of next 2 chs, 3 sc in end ch; working on opposite side of ch, sc in each of last 3 chs (10).

Rnd 2: 2 sc in each of the first 2 sts, sc in each of next 2 sts, 2 sc in each of next 3 sts, sc in each of next 2 sts, 2 sc in last st (16).

Rnd 3: 2 sc in each of the first 3 sts, sc in next 5 sts, 2 sc in each of next 4 sts, sc in each of next 3 sts, 2 sc in last st (24).

Rnd 4: Sc in first st, 2 sc in each of next 3 sts, sc in 9 sts, 2 sc in each of next 3 sts, sc in last 8 sts (30).

Rnd 5: * Sc in next 4 sts, 2 sc in next st, repeat from * around. (36).

Rnd 6: Sc in each st around.

Rnd 7: * Sc in next 5 sts, 2 sc in next st, repeat from * around (42).

Rnd 8 - 12: Sc in each st around.

Rnd 13: * Sc in next 5 sts, sc next 2 sts tog, repeat from * (36).

Rnds 14 – 17: Sc in each st around.

Rnd 18: * Sc in next 4 sts, sc next 2 sts tog, repeat from * around (30).

Rnds 19 – 21: Repeat rnd 6. At end of last rnd, join with sl st in first sc, fasten off.

Rnd 22: Join CC with sl st in first st, ch 3, dc in each of next 2 sts, dc next 2 sts tog, * dc in each of next 3 sts, dc next 2 sts tog, repeat from * around, join with sl st in top of ch-3 (24).

Rnd 23: Ch 3, dc in each st around, join, fasten off.

Rnd 24: Join MC with sl st in first st, ch 3, dc in each st around, join.

Rnds 25 – 27: Ch 3, dc in each st around, join.

Rnd 28: Ch 1, sc in each st around, join with sl st in first sc, fasten off.

Golf Ball (make 9)

Rnd 1: With F hook and CC, ch 2, 6 sc in 2^nd ch from hook (6).

Rnd 2: 2 sc in each st around, join with sl st in first sc, fasten off (12). Sew right side of one golf ball to one cover, three to second cover and five to third cover according to photo.

Finishing

Insert golf tees through center of rnd.
