Fringed Chair Set

Materials Required - AMERICAN THREAD COMPANY "STAR" or "GEM" MERCERIZED CROCHET COTTON Size 20 or 30

3 - 300 yard balls, White or Colors.

Note: This doesn't give a hook size (it's an old pattern) so use what ever you'd like. Either crochet yarn, thread, and hook size recommended.

Chair Back. Ch 254, dc in 8^th ch from hook, * ch 2, skip 2 ch sts, dc in next ch and repeat from * to end of ch, (84 meshes). 

2^nd Row. Ch 5, dc in next dc, ** ch 8, skip 3 spaces, dc in next dc, * ch 2, dc in next dc, repeat from twice. Repeat from ** to end of Row, ch 5, turn. 

3^rd Row. Dc in dc, * ch 8, dc in next dc, ch 2, dc in next dc, 2 dc over ch, dc in dc, ch 2, dcin next dc, repeat from * to end of Row ch 5, turn. 

4^th Row. Dc in dc, * ch 5, sc over ch of third Row into center st of 8 ch of second Row, ch 5, dc in dc, 2 dc in mesh, dc in dc, ch 2, skip 2 dc, dc in next dc, 2 dc over ch, dc in dc, repeat from * to end of Row, ch 5, turn. 

5^th Row. Dc in dc, * ch 8, dc in next dc, ch 2, skip 2 dc, dc in next dc, 2 dc over ch, dc in dc, ch 2, skip 2 dc, dc in next dc and repeat from * to end: of Row, ch 5, turn. 

6^th Row. Dc in dc, * ch 8, dc in next dc, ch 2, dc in next dc, ch 2, skip 2 dc, dc in next dc, ch 2, dcin next dc, repeat from * to end of Row, ch 5, turn. 

7^th Row. Dc in dc, * ch 5, sc in center of ch 8 of 5th Row, ch 5, dc in dc, ch 8, skip 3 spaces, dc indc and repeat from * to end of Row, ch 5, turn. 

8^th Row. Dc in dc, * ch 8, dc in dc, repeat from * to end of Row, ch 5, turn. 

9^th Row. Dc in dc, * ch 2, skip 2 ch sts, dc in next ch, work 2 more meshes over 8 ch loop (3 spaces) ch 5, sc in center ch of the 7^th Row, ch5, dc in dc and repeat from * to end of Row, ch 5, turn. 

10^th Row. Dc in dc, * ch 2, dc in next dc, 2 dc over ch, dc in next dc, ch 2, dc in next dc, ch 8,dc in next dc, and repeat from * to end of Row, ch 5, turn. 

11^th Row. Dc in dc, * 2 dc over ch, dc in dc, ch 2, skip 2 dc, dc in next dc, 2 dc over ch, dc in next dc, ch 8, dc in next dc, repeat from * to end of Row, ch 5, turn. 

12^th Row. Dc in dc, * ch 2, skip 2 dc, dc in next dc, 2 dc over ch, dc in next dc, ch 2, skip 2 dc,dc in next dc, ch 5, sc in center of ch of 10^th Row, ch 5, dc in next dc and repeat from * to end of Row, ch 5, turn. 

13^th Row. Dc in dc, * ch 2, dc in next dc, ch 2, skip 2 dc, dc in next dc, ch 2, dc in next dc, ch 8,dc in next dc and repeat from * to end of Row, ch 5, turn. 

]4^th Row. Repeat 2^nd Row working three 2-ch spaces over 8-ch loop.

The second to the 13^th Row inclusive forms the pattern, repeat pattern three times, finish with one Row of spaces same as 1^st Row.

Edge. Across the top and 2 sides, work 3 dc in each space. Lower edge. Work 3 dc, ch 3, 3 dc in first space, * skip one space, sc in next dc, skip one space, 3 dc, ch 3, 3 dc in next space and repeat from * across Row.

 Fringe. Wind thread around 3 inch cardboard and cut one end. Take 16 strands and knot over 3-ch loop.

 Arm Rests. Ch 101 and work same as chair back repeating 2^nd to 13^th Row 5 times (or about 12 inches) and Finish all around with a Row of dc, working 3 dc in each space.
