Chain 82 stitches.

Abbreviations:

FPD:  yo, insert hook from front to back to front around post of next st, yo and pull up a lp, (yo and pull through 2 loops on hook) twice - front post dc.

BPDC: yo, insert hook from back to front to back around post of next dc, yo and pull up a loop, (yo and pull through 2 loops on hook) twice - back post dc.

FLC2:  skip 1 st, FPDC in next 1 st, bring hook in front of st just made and FPDC in skipped stitch - front left cross on 2 sts.

FRC2:  skip 1 st, FPDC in next 1 stitch, bring hook behind stitch just made and FPDC in skipped stitch - front right cross on 2 sts. FRC2: skip 1 st, FPDC in next 1 stitch, bring hook behind stitch just made and FPDC in skipped stitch - front right cross on 2 sts.

BLC2:  skip 1 stitch, BPDC in next 1 stitch, bring hook in front of stitch just made and BPDC in skipped stitch -back left cross on 2 stitches.

BRC2: skip 1 stitch, BPDC in next 1 stitch, bring hook behind stitch just made and BPDC in skipped stitch -back right cross on 2 stitches. BRC2: skip 1 stitch, BPDC in next 1 stitch, bring hook behind stitch just made and BPDC in skipped stitch -back right cross on 2 stitches.

Braid (worked on 4 stitches):
