Size: 16” X 13½”

1 8-oz. skein 4-ply Red Yarn
1 8-oz. skein 4-ply White Yarn
1 8-oz skein 4-ply Blue Yarn Size.

I hook
Glue
Ribbon

With Red, CH 52.
Row 1: DC in 4th CH from hk. DC next 4 CH, 3 DC in next CH, DC in next 5 CH, skip next 2 s, DC next 5 CH, 3DC in next CH. Continue across to end, CH 3 and turn.

Row 2: Skip one DC, DC in next 4 DC, 3 DC in next DC, DC in next 5 DC, skip 2 DC, DC next 5 DC, 3 DC in next DC, continue across and fasten off.

Row 3-4: Join white and follow instructions for Row 2. Fasten off.

Row 5-6: Join blue and follow instructions for Row 2. Fasten off.

Row 7-8: Join red and follow instructions for Row 2. Fasten off.

Row 9-10: Join white and follow instructions for Row 2. Fasten off.

Rows 11-20: Alternate colors following instructions for Row 2, ending in 2 rows of red. Fasten off.

Lps
Make 4.
CH 20 using your color of choice, fasten off and tie to each corner of flag. You can use ribbon for lps or strands of yarn.

Star: Use hk sizes to make size of star you want. Try F and G size hks with 4-ply, white worsted weight yarn. Also try 3-ply white baby yarn. CH 2.

Round 1: 5 SC in 2nd CH from hk.

Round 2: 3 SC in each SC.

Round 3: (1 SC in next st, CH 6, sl st in 2nd CH from hk, 1 SC in next CH, 1 hdc in next CH, 1 DC in next CH, 1 tr in next CH, 1 tr in base of starting SC, sk 2 SC) 4 times, sl st in 1st SC to join. Fasten off.


You may place more stars if desired. Decorate flags with ribbon or strands of yarn.
