From Eleanor we get this: Dear Shirley: In reply to your newsletter - You talked about using a different color in every row. I have a pattern that works beautifully for this. You don't need to match colors at all and every afghan turns out gorgeous. I once set a large box of scraps at my mother's feet. She knew the pattern and I told her just to reach down and grab the yarn without looking at the color. She was so proud of that afghan and when her grandson and great grand sons were coming to visit she just hung that afghan over a chair and attached a slip of paper that said "Giveaway". A great grandson grabbed it shortly after walking in the door and he hung on to it all the while they were there. Now in their home when someone is not feeling well, they get to use the "Gammy" blanket.
